B'Wave Deluxe by Max Maven
Prediction of a thought of queen, with a three phase revelation.
You bring out four cards and ask your spectator to name any queen. You then cleanly spread those four cards on the table. The only face up card is the chosen queen. Then you turn it over and its back is a different color than from the rest of the cards. As further proof that you already knew queen they would say, you turn over the rest of the cards and they are all completely blank.
I purchased this as soon as Penguin provided instruction by Max Maven. I must say that this product went beyond my expectations. Max Maven went over all the important details in the script to make this a truly beautiful piece of magic. In addition, he gave really great insight into why he constructed the effect the way he did and the problems he has with how others present this. I highly recommend this product because it not only teaches you an amazing effect, but it provides important examples on how to think like a magician or mentalist.
"Some call it bwave, others call it b-wave". No. The correct pronunciation is "bwave". Others *mispronounce it* b-wave. Ask Eugene or Max :) that aside ... B'Wave's been in my pocket for years ... one of two packet effects I carry (the other is Color Monte). It's great to have it available again! My handling gets the reveal up to face-level, not the table or crotch. My reveal of the queen (which we don't see all of on the trailer) differs from the standard. Anyone interested can easily find me by my last name, and I'd be happy to discuss it. Highly recommended.
This is good but is essentially the same as B'Voque but this uses a gimmick so the choices are fairer but as it uses a gimmick you can't let the spectator examine the cards. Both good but I would not have bought this if I had seen the full routine as I feel it's the same outcome but not examinable.
The idea is great! Nick will do a wonderful job teaching you multiple ways to perform it and will even point you in the direction to learning a "non-gimmicked" version. Highly recommend it, takes a different spin on a classic effect.
This is such a powerful effect and one that you will want to have on you at all times. I can't emphasize enough how great this trick is. Nick's presentation is fantastic. There are three reasons for this: 1) He speaks clearly and concisely. 2) He goes slow enough to ensure he covers all the essential moments. 3) There is no stinkin' music playing while he's talking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
